Old Passions Can Never Be Lost.
Before you go forth and read this article and stutter over my questionable spelling and grammar, I want you to think back at a time in your life where you have made an attempt to do something great? Whether that be, the pursuit of a particular sport, a personal achievement, a new chapter of life or maybe to seek a greater purpose of life. Whilst you think about those times, I want you to remember the experience regardless of whatever the outcome may have been. The good. The bad, the trying and the tested.
And now lastly, I want you to take a breath and laugh at whatever conclusion your mind came to. I believe in that experience you have found something to remember.
But now some time has passed, and we have forgone the chosen challenges of life for life is challenging enough but I write this article for you all now: Old Passions Can Never Be Lost.
This article is inspired by a young woman who has succumb to the woos of life and allowed her old passion to slip away. As of late, this young individual finds herself a little lost and confused in life as we have all found ourselves from time to time. And in these stages of life, it’s never certain what might be missing so all we can do is go and look.
This young woman was once upon a time a keen gymnast and a very talented one I might add. Even to this day, many years later, she can perform astonishing acrobatic as they had been fine-tuned after years of dedication however this is not the case. These skills of which she performs are nothing more than a talented foundation of what was once a passion.
Late one evening this young woman took a moment to reflect on what she really enjoyed doing, whether it be of interest or to pursue a competitive drive, she concluded that she was go back once again to gymnastics.
Filled by dread and fear and anxious to take a step forward into an old passion, she overcomes these emotions, knowing that there might be a small possibility she could relight that once blazing flame by taking small positive steps into undertaking hard things.
Her story reminds us that we might lose ourselves sometimes along with our passions whilst we battle with life’s demands. But remember this, you can always find your way back. You just must be brave enough to jump. Or in the young gymnast’s case, flip.
